Folio & Frame sells twelve photographs and nothing else, and prints each one only when someone orders it.

Our story

Folio & Frame started in 2023 at a kitchen table, with a box of test prints and two questions: why do good photographic prints cost so much, and why do so many of them end up unsold?

Printing on demand answered both. A handful of partner labs print, frame and ship each order themselves, which lets us keep a short catalogue, fair prices and no warehouse at all.

Every photograph in the shop was printed, framed and lived with for weeks before it went on sale. If it didn't hold up on a wall, it didn't make the cut.

01 What we believe

Fewer prints, printed better.

  • Printed when you order

    No stock, no clearance sales, no pallets of unsold posters. Each print exists because someone asked for it.

  • Archival materials

    Acid-free paper and pigment inks that keep their colours for a century on an indoor wall.

  • Made near you

    Each order goes to the lab closest to its delivery address, which shortens both the wait and the journey.
